Toured up Mazama ridge and out to the Paradise Glacier. ~3/4" of new snow over a pencil hard crust most everywhere up to 6800'. Below the crust, a few mid-storm layers in the upper 40 cm of snow produced failures in 2 of 3 compression tests CTM2 and CTH on a wind loaded NE facing pocket on the East side of Mazama Ridge at 5800'. Snow depth at that location was ~270 cm.
