Snowpack: 4-6" of recent snow from the past few days seems well bonded to a very thin and weak crust (11/24). While we could feel this crust with our hands and poles, it did not affect travel. The upper snowpack appeared well settled and generally strong with no obvious layers of concern.
We did notice wind drifted snow in open areas around 5500 and above, where the snow had also been blown out of the trees.
At lower elevations, (3000-4500') steeper southerly slopes produced rollerballs during short sunny periods around mid-day.
Weather: Broken skies, no precipitation, light southwesterly winds.
