Traveled on North and North East slopes in the elevations of 4500'-6000'. Widespread surface hoar on open N slopes in the elevation band of approx 4500'-5200' possibly due to the inversion the past 24 hours. Found 30-40cm of dry preserved powder over the rain crust everywhere we traveled. Do not dig a pit. No signs of any density changes or storm slab instabilities on steeper slopes. Weather was calm winds, scattered clouds and broken sunshine. Slight inversion and valley clouds below pass level.
