Toured out to the "Terrible Traverse" to see how the snow pack was setting up. Did a single column test at roughly 45°17'51.3"N 121°36'26.5"W, NE facing, on the hikers' right leeward slope on the way up the traverse. The snow depth is 90-95cm deep and there's a 20-30cm firm layer (melt/freeze maybe) sandwiched between two warmer layers that is really reactive.
CTE 6, SP/SC fracturing at 45cm.
