Observations

Weather: Mostly sunny skies with few clouds. Light SE winds. No precipitation.

Snowpack: Total snow: 45" (110cm) in nearly all locations. Recent snow since Tuesday totaling ~15" (35cm). This recent snow is well bonded to a frim crust (11/17) formed during Monday and Tuesday's warmer rain event. This crust was found all the way up to 6300' and likely extends to ridgecrest in all locations in this area. No major layers of concern were observed in the snowpack where I traveled.

Advanced Observations

Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Storm Slab
Comments:
Observations and snowpack tests repeatably showed the most consistent failure layer down 8-10" in a subtle layer created during storms this past week. I was able to intentionally trigger on very small 20'x15' storm slab which failed on this same layer.
