Observations

We dug to ground on an open NW aspect at 5100’. 35 degree slope angle. The total depth was 150cm, consistent in the area. 115cm above ground was a rain crust. I didn’t see other noticeable density changes the rest of the way to ground. At ground the snow was warm and easy to pack into a ball. We did a CT on three separate columns and got CT15, CT16 and CT15 at the crust. There wasn’t much displacement, energy or planar quality.
We didn’t see any shooting cracks, but on steep slopes we did see some very little pockets release. Overall, good skiing, and a lovely day out!
