Observations

I apologize I don't have my note book here with me at work so the measurements will be to the best of my knowledge.

The snow level was around 3000-3500. Periods of light snowfall

Snow pit was done at 5800' facing 120 degrees SSE
Total depth was 140 cm
There was a rain crust at 100 cm and 120 cm from the ground. There was well bounded snow in between at this spot but could be dangerous in another area.
Interface with the ground was rounded grains that were about 3 mm.

On the second lap there was a strong westerly that was gusting to 30 mph.
