Skied in the east facing meadows on gnarl ridge. Snow below 5000’ was saturated, I saw meltwater channels running through the snowpack on all aspects. A rain crust is present on upper elevations. Winds on Gnarl Ridge were sustained 15-20, with gusts of 25-35. Snow depth was 85 cm on an east facing aspect at 6400’. 3-4” of new snow along the ridge, and in the meadows, which was very wind affected. I dug a pit and found a weak interface between the rain crust and the new snow that fell on wednesday, but did not have propagation. Skied low angle terrain.
