Observations

Raing on 4-8” of fresh snow from 2500-3400’. Snow thereafter. In general, whole snowpack seems like it all fell at once. No instability. Tiny layer at 4” low down. Roller balls triggered by elk at 3500’ on 30 degree slope. Same slope was wind loaded, but not hard. At 4500’ bottomless snow and very slow moving. Skin track almost 2’ deep. Skied 20-25 degree slope with difficulty. I expect a crust soon on top of a lot of storm snow...
