Observations

Variable conditions. Breakable crusts sporadically on sun exposed aspects. Soft snow found in tight trees. Below 5000’ we encountered a lot of heavy, sticky but soft snow. No notable crust beneath the mashed potatoes. Westerly winds were moderate at times early in the day on Maggie’s ridge but there didn’t seem to be much snow available for transport.
