Observations

Avalanche slide debris blocking East Church Road 3040 at mile 1.3--West Fork Chain Up Creek. The slide occurred at an unknown time between 0500-0800 2/21/2023 and caused one vehicle to be trapped on the uphill side. There were no injuries or property damage. Size D2.5 R5. It would have buried and destroyed a car. On the road it was 9’-10’ high and about 15’ across. The whole path was not visible, but it took up the whole of a very small creek drainage and likely started at least 3000’ higher in elevation. Debris did cross the road and continue on the downhill side and there were broken trees.
