Signs of Unstable Snow

Did you see shooting cracks?
Yes, Isolated
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
No

Observations

Observed shooting cracks on a loaded N slope at 1500m. Storm snow was slabbly and moist.

Ski quality was still good on less loaded aspects thanks to the relatively higher density, “creamy”, storm snow.

Non-avalanche hazard: The creek at the bottom of Herman Gulch (where the gulch meets Bagley lakes) is quite open and remarkably difficult to see from above. Despite noting this on the ascent, it still caught me off guard on the descent - a mistake which cost me an achilles tendon. Exercise caution when exiting.
