Today we completed a counter-clockwise Chair Peak Circumnavigating. North Facing slopes below 4500' had a breakable temperature crust. Timing was everything with solars softening up throughout the day. Mid-day solars were skiing nicely despite intimidating looking but soft roller balls. Observed a number of rollerballs on all solar aspects, but none entraining enough snow to become true loose wet. By ~3:30pm morning solars that had gone into the shade refrozen into hard chunder, especially in previously skied terrain. One or two small point releases were observed on steep (over 45 degree) solar aspects. Light 5mph south wind could be felt on ridges. Skies were clear until 1pm when we noticed some light clouds moving through the valley. The moved in and out, obscuring vision from time-to-time , for the rest of the afternoon.,
