Observations

Overcast and snowing S1 for the whole morning with a snow rain mix at the alpy lot and dry snow falling above 4,600. Uptrack tests had cracking in the storm snow from the last 24h which ranged from almost non existent at pass level to ~30cm sitting on the 2/3 interference at the top of draft dodger ridge.
We dug for a few minutes on a N aspect at 4650’ and found an HS of 340cm with the Xmas crust down 165cm, MLK down 105cm and 2/3 down 30cm. Small column tests showed sudden planar results on the 2/3 and resistant planar results several cm above the MLK. Large column tests provided sudden planer results on the 2/3 interface (ECTp 4 SP x2)
