Small pocket of hard, old wind slab, 15-25cm deep, approx 20m wide, ran approx 500’.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

A Small pocket of wind slab releases and knocked two skiers off their feet carrying them both about 200’. Both skiers were very surprised. There were no shooting cracks or obvious signs or instability.

The thin Slab released and then ran quickly on firm snow below the start zone.
