Observations

Lots of blowing snow on ridge and peaks - widespread wind transport and wind affected snow. Conditions were highly variable - on both the N and S aspects of Castle Peak, we observed small wind slabs from 1-4” thick, pockets of deeper and softer snow deposits, and crusty snow with no ski penetration.

We also saw a small slides (dry sluff or small slab) triggered by skier group on SW Slopes of Foss Peak, looked inconsequential but ran 100m.
