Snow was wind-affected everywhere. Some areas had a supportable crust, others had deep powder, some had a few cms over a supportable crust. It could change every few feet. Blowing snow seen in the morning. Strong winds in the AM petered out around noon. Ripples, dunes, wind-eroded "snowstone" formations (aka sastrugi). No signs of surface hoar during our time in the field (0900-1500). No signs of avalanche activity. No signs of warming (tree bombs, rollerballs, etc).
