The other observation submitted yesterday is generally in line with our's as well, so not much else to add. But the winds were light, temps in the 20s, and there were short periods of intense flurries periodically throughout the day. Towards the end of the day we had some pockets of blue sky and the fog lifted too.
Advanced Observations
Observed Avalanche Problem #1:
Wind Slab
Comments:
One of the skiers in our party triggered a small wind slab on a loaded slope in an area not near terrain traps. But he was not carried, no one was caught, and no one was injured.
