Observations

Today we toured the table mountain traverse and the day got hot! Lots of sun affect mostly on west, south, and east aspects. Loose wet avalanches were the main problem of concern on these slopes, lots of roller ball activity. We did observe some dry loose activity on north facing slopes. I triggered some loose wet sluffing on ptarmigan shoot and pond shot. We did observe isolated shallow 2” wind slab in wind affected areas, but seemed mostly unconsolidated and difficult to trigger. The deeper/older wind slab appeared to be healing, but was still noticeable in wind affected areas.
