Triggered a wind slab when turning around at the Thetis Creek overlook. I’ve never seen an avalanche break loose there.

Observations

We triggered a wind slab today that broke loose 100’ wide which then enters the forest. I don’t know how far it ran.

Media

Wind slab at Thetis creek in a spot I’ve never seen an avalanche before. We’ve been there dozens of times. The wind was ripping on the ridges today.
