Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skied south aspect of yodelin into old avalanche swath. Snow was about 4-5 inches of dry powder on firm crust. On very steep aspects ~50 degrees there was some dry loose but without much propagation (although slopes that steep were small). Noticed wind affect on burned trees on approach, but seemed very stable.
