Observations

We traveled up Alpental Valley to Source Lake (~3800'). Observed tree bombs falling starting around 9:45am. Saw 4-5 small, wet loose avalanches, probaby from yesterday, on the south and south east aspects under Chair Peak. We saw snow swirling on the ridgelines, and what looked like a small cornice from the valley. The snow surface glistened in the sun and small facets were seen.
