Observations

Skied Ice berg to Pond Shot, Back Door to Diamond Trees. Last lap was up to Herman Mnt/East Gully. Snow seemed stable throughout the day.
Dug a quick pole test on Pond Shot and observed a weak layer 20” down. Rain layer from last week was easy trigger.
Upon entering East Gully, we noticed a human triggered cornice avalanche. We were going to continue to the high point on Herman Mnt but encountered a “whumph” as we crossed above the trigger point. Decided to ski down to most likely safe point and ski out from there.
Great day overall but last lap down Herman was questionable. 24” down there is a weak layer.
