1-4 inches of soft snow on top of a stout crust. Touring up around tree line the snow did not look wind effected. Higher up you could see signs of wind transport and loading on lee slope.
Hand pits showed a slight bond of this wind effected snow on the rain crust. Nudging a small block you could get the top 3-4 inches to slide without issue. Did not slide cleanly. Noted this and avoided the steeper lee sides on terrain. If not for the sliding then mainly to avoid slipping on the crust below.
Very little wind today. Fun tour!
