Small wet slab, skier triggered, approx 3m wide, ran approx 15m, 2-3" deep. Happened right at the warming cycle at 0938am.
Did you see shooting cracks?
No
Did you experience collapsing or whumpfing?
Yes, Isolated
Plenty of roller balls between 9 and 10 am as the sun hit east facing aspects in Snoqualmie pass ski area. Small wet slabs could be released on the steepest terrain in the area but there is limited area with sufficient slope angle in the resort to be of concern. Ski cutting remaining higher risk areas showed there was a reactive layer at approximately 2-3" but could not gather momentum.
