Observations

Slab popped on skin uptrack, 2nd lap 4th track (2 riders.) Released about 24" deep and propogated 100-150' across, running out 200'. D1. No signs of instability beforehand, but went on us when we were halfway up the slope in tour mode in a prone spot. Was able to self arrest and nobody was carried in the slide. Steady winds from different directions has made the snowpack and suspect windloading alter things a lot over the last week above alpine and near ridges making it unpredictable. Weakly supported cornices are also building and should be taken into consideration.
