Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Overcast, limited visibility, light snow, 32F, East aspect, wind light variable, 5600’ . A quick column test produces a planar failure @ 24cm on 5 and another planer failure @ 45cm on 6, associated with buried surface hoar. Christmas crust will below the reactive layer. Same features that failed yesterday, just not on such a slippery slope. After yesterday’s adventure, we stay on sedate terrain.
