Observed Avalanches

Comments:
Biggest avalanches in Bagley were up to size 1.5 in Blueberry chutes, N aspect. Also saw crowns of recent avalanche in gully below Rampzilla, S face Herman.

Observations

Skied 5 min and Boulderfield trees. Saw another skier ski cut a small avalanche on a steep wind loaded feature of 5 min. Recent avalanches on multiple aspects looked like they failed during or at end of last storm. Wind slab hard to avoid in NTL but not reactive on <35* deg terrain for us. Moderate winds and periods of mod snow during our tour. Active wind transport including strong downslope gusts on S face Herman.

Comments: 
Extensive wind slab in NTL on N and S aspects. Slabs varied from 4-12". Hand pits generally failed on isolation.
