Observations

Snow conditions: Hardpack, wet and punchy, with a few inches of fresh high-density snow at higher elevations

Did a column test on a North aspect, 4050 ft elevation. Snow depth: 138 cm. Column did not budge with 10 tabs at the wrist, elbow, and shoulder.
Snowpack appeared to be well-bonded and stable down to the Christmas crust layer ~103cm. With a pull of the shovel behind the column, the column sheered cleanly at the Christmas crust layer. The snowpack in Christmas Tree Bowl appeared to be stable and well-bonded down to the Christmas crust layer, with a weak layer above it, though not reactive today.

Looking up at the bowl.
No fracturing on the column test. Pull of the shovel on the column produced a clean sheer at the xmas crust.
