Wind loaded slope, 110’ wide start zone 33 deg, run out 25 deg. ~70’ vertical displacement. Buried surface hoar on a sun consolidated surface. Un disturbed snow adjacent released on isolation.

Observations

Overcast, snowing, 31 F, wind gusty variable, ( Mission data logger showed 210 most of the day) East aspect, elevation ~5700, HS 185cm, reactive surface 34cm. Column failed on 5.
We were not really expecting this slope to fail, but it did, as forecast by Katie. If this had been a big unsupported slope it probably would have gone big.
