Observations

A group of four of us had skied a run and went back up to do another lap in an adjacent gully. We had experienced small wind slabs throughout the tour and had discussed the drop into our next run with this in mind. I dropped in on a rolling convex ridge - in doing so I triggered a slab that broke off underneath the convex roll. I continued to ski down the gully and my ski partner who was off to the right alerted me of the avalanche and I skied up on the opposite side of the gully. The terrain below was reasonably low consequence, however in retrospect- it was too aggressive of a terrain choice.
