Observations

Ascended Delancey to about 6000 ft on Tuesday morning. Under the top cliff band below ridge line, observed recent slides in the main gulley skiers left of the common skin track. Multiple slides with breaks in between observed down to about 4500 ft in the gulley (see photo for example). Some of these were smaller, but others quite large and extensive certainly enough to cause injury. These slides were not present during a similar tour on Saturday Dec 31st morning. The debris was soft and covered recent skier tracks. Appeared to have been snow above the Dec 25 crust, but this was not confirmed across the whole elevation range. Otherwise the snow across the rest of the terrain had a light crust with surface hoar on top.
