Observations

There was significant wind affect apparent on Ptarmigan Ridge today, riding conditions were a mixed bag with pockets of settled powder among a lot of windboard up higher, and lower down slopes held excellent snow. Existing skin tracks up to ptarmigan pass from artist point had 2-3” of low density snow but in many other locations old skin tracks had been covered completely. Observed a soft wind slab while skinning up back pocket, it seemed non reactive in hand shears. Increasing cloud cover throughout the day and a noticeable uptick in wind out of the south around 11.
