We approached the Kendall Adventure Zone via Kendall Knob and as we climbed, the wind picked up dramatically, probably 50+mph gusts (confirmed by the alpy weather station once we were down). The wind was mainly gusting from the northeast. We traversed to silver twins through some light windloading on the s facing slopes, just wanting to get eyes on the line and knowing we wouldn't be skiing it. The northerly wind was sandblasting the line and it appeared pretty heavily scoured.
Exited by traversing over to the SW slopes of Kendall and riding out the Avy Swathe and Big Trees. It was an unholy blend of suncrusted, windboarded, treebombed, heavy, heavily skied chunder. I think I got one or two good turns in a low angle windslab. The luge track was fun though...except in the icy spots.
Have fun out there!
