Comments:
Snow was very cold, dry and sugary on the north facing aspects we skiied. This surface snow (top 4-6 inches) was easily kicked loose and sluffed during turns. It did not pick up any deeper snow, or slide longer than 3 ft.

Signs of Unstable Snow

None reported

Observations

Skiing north facing aspects of Tronsen Head/meadows saw light sugary snow of varying depth (4-8 inches) over a hard crust that was not giving way. The loose snow sluffed easily on steeper slopes (35+ degrees), but did not travel far.

Very large surface hoar was also visible on almost all aspects of terrain.
