A small soft slab avalanche was triggered when descending off of Platinum Peak on the west facing slope just North of Ted’s Buttress in the crystal backcountry. The avalanche was about 1-2 ft deep, about 40 ft wide, and about 50-60 ft long, and it stopped in a small basin.

No one was injured. The avalanche was about 1-2 ft deep, about 40 ft wide, and about 50-60 ft long, and it stopped in a small basin.
