Lots of new snow and deep SS pen this morning. Some sunbreaks during the day and almost no wind made for warmish temps. Where the sun came out, solar aspects got wetter and heavier on the surface with lots of little rollerballs when plunge-stepping. Lots of wind slab looking areas but did not see any signs of avalanches. On Mazama Ridge dug a quick pit and found the Christmas crust about 90 cm down. Snow on top of that was fairly uniform and did not have any obvious weak layers.
Snow coverage below 3,000' is thin.
