Observations

Travelled on polar aspects between 3.9 and 5.5k. Felt balmy today compared to last week (probably high 20s to low 30s). 18 cm of medium density new snow over the crust. Crust was ski supportable, but boots went right through it (boot pen almost to the ground). HS around 70 cm where I measured (4.1k and 5.1k). Winds were moderate throughout the day. Observed signs of wind transport in more exposed locations, but the wind-deposited snow seemed fairly well bonded to the crust below. I did not observe any obvious signs of instability.
