Observations

Took a couple laps on Maggie's and noticed wind affected snow on all aspects with ridgelines scoured bare and east facing slopes heavily wind loaded below ridgelines which I avoided. Once in the trees, the new snow above the rain crust is shallow (3-5") in general and packed powder in more exposed places. Though it was beautiful and sunny, the temps stayed cold and ridgeline winds were not light. My car doors were a little more frozen shut than usual in the shadows near the start of the skintrack.
