In the middle of the warm front moving through the central cascades (circa 10am-2pm), we toured Potato Hill to its summit and back down. The snowpack had turned mostly to corn (spring conditions in winter?!), but even on 40+ degree slopes, the snowpack had good cohesion and did not slide easily. Rain continued to fall as we packed up, so additional water may undermine layers, but as of Friday mid-day, the conditions appeared good. If you don’t mind rain.
