Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Same widespread whomping at lower elevations in sheltered areas. While startling, it is consistent with what I have seen over the past month and has not lead to any propagation. Shallow snowpack (30-36”) dry powder over a crumbling crust layer over weaker facets on the ground. Rocky areas, brushy zones, and around fallen logs have lots of holes and air pockets.
