Observations

At 4,900', hand shears and shovel tilt tests showed two, distinct weak interfaces 20 cm and 45 cm down. A medium-strength sun crust (on non-North aspects) sitting atop these two layers got covered in 4" of new snow throughout the day, which formed a soft slab that would slough off when skiing over steep terrain. Skiing was mostly phenomenal -- WA cold smoke.
