Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

We left the snowpark at 2pm and found windy conditions at the top of the pass. There were some wind scoured areas and pockets that had blown in 18” deep. No avalanche problems seen at the Stampede Pass riding areas due the flat terrain but the blowing snow did feel slabby and we were surprised how deep the drifts were.
