Surface hoar up 4-8mm on most surfaces. surface hoar melting in direct sun, preserved in shaded area.

resistant planar fractures in recent storm snow 20 and 25 cm down.

no propagation indicated in an extended column test.

right side up snowpack with old crusts at the bottom.

clear skies. no wind.
