Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Post storm tour into Bullion. CM closed uphill travel into Silver Basin. We were cautious of the recent storm slab and the possibility of weak layer that was reported. Fog/cloudy conditions hampered observations as we entered the zone. Ridge line had some variable wind affected snow but nothing that was reactive.

Ski cut several aspects (North and West) with out observing any reaction.

West side of Bullion skied amazing with only a few trees exposed due to early season snow pack. North side skied equally amazing. Surprised at lack of cornices or major wind deposits.

Great conditions for mid December.
