Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Observation tour to Stormy’s in mixed to overcast conditions, light to no wind, s-1 in later afternoon
No cracking or collapsing
Snowpack warming
Our group did Compression tests which showed interfaces at 30cm (CTM4) and 45cm(CTH2) with moderate planar results
Extended column tests did not propagate at 30cm nor at 45cm
