Above treeline on the East side of Tye Peak we noticed lots of wind-affected snow. The wind seemed to have been coming from the East mostly. The wind-affected snow was solid and cohesive all the way down, as estimated by sticking ski poles into it. (Not a wind slab on top of loose powder). We never saw any cracks, even when moving between light powder in the trees and the heavily wind-affected regions. We saw a spot on the ridgeline where the wind had scoured all the way down to dirt and groundcover.
