Observations

Starting from Yodelin we went up the SW face of Lichtenberg. Above ~4800ft we found a few feet of deep powder. We began to see a facet crust building in shaded areas around 4400ft and consistently above ~4600.

Lots of wind loading on the summit ridge on SW aspect.

Advanced Observations

Observed Avalanche Problem #1: 
Wet Loose
Comments: 
Warming weather after noon led to some small wet loose slides where terrain was over 35*. Along our route and in our fall line we saw and triggered small slides; they were small and made up of a few snowballs (the biggest were the size of a head). Also saw a few pinwheels.
