Observations

Stuck to north and shaded aspects hunting softer snow. Noticeable rain crust buried under 30-40 cm of nice dry, soft snow with denser snow underneath. Looks like facets forming above and below with failure above on hasty hand pits. Wind transport was noticeable with wind buffed and wind consolidated spots and exposed aspects showing old raised ski tracks. Also noted surface hoar 5-8mm forming too with the chilly temps in the shade. Southern solar aspects are forming a small crust in places and melting out at lower elevation. Stuff to keep in mind for next storm cycle.
