Observations
Above treeline was a variable alpine mix of blue ice, scoured boiler plate and pockets of wind deposited snow. Significant snow transport on strong N-NW winds cross loading gullies. Minor cracking observed in wind deposited snow, but easily slid on icy bed surface. There were larger wind slabs in couloirs up higher on the mountain that were stiff and seemed suspect.
